Detective Cedric Mitchell is a national renowned lecturer, educator and one of the nation’s leading authority on the subject of robbery pickpocket and identity theft investigations.  He was recently bought on staff by the National Transit Institute, a unit of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, as lead instructor for the course he developed entitled “The Art of The Game-Robbery Pickpocket & Identity Theft”.

As a leading expert, he is frequently featured on national and local news, as will as radio stations and televise programs.  In the September 2006 issue of Oprah Winfrey’s “O” magazine.  Detective Mitchell was interviewed for an article entitled “Body Awareness Training”.

  • Detective Cedric Mitchell founded CAM, LLC in 2000The company provides consulting and training to both law enforcement and the private sector in a number of areas, to include:  identity theft, bank fraud, robbery pickpocket, and large venue security.  His training is proactive, interactive and engaging.  As an active 21-year veteran with one of the largest transit systems in the country, he has personally been involved in or consulted on hundreds of robbery pickpocket and identity theft cases.  He has trained thousands of law enforcement and security personnel from around the world on how to identify and apprehend pickpocket suspects.  He strongly believes that safety and security should be proactive and not reactive.
